Why is it that we throw are ups up in discuss when we talk about how much the government wants to spend to publicly fund individual health insurance/citizen insurance yet we don't question the billions we spend each month on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

World Council of Churches 'minute' refers to paying for war as a form of conscientious objection

The Central Committee of the World Council of Churches recently passed a 'minute' that refers to paying for war as a form of conscientious objection. (WCC, meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, 26 August - 2 September 2009).

Today, (Saturday) I also attended the Citizen's Inquiry on the Impacts of the Uranium Cycle, held at Hart House, U. of Toronto.
